This avocado crema recipe is so fresh and light tasting, it is one of my favorite additions to almost any dish. I love it on anything from grilled fish to chicken, and especially Tacos! Crema is also wonderful to cut the heat of a spicy dish. Whenever I have a meal that I may have a spicier food, I make this for the poor souls who can’t take the heat (myself included!) Certainly serve it with my Southwest Seasoned Skirt Steak Tacos or Pork Tenderloin Tacos recipes!
About Crema:
Crema is Mexican dairy product similar to sour cream. However, sour cream is firmer than crema. Also, Crema is saltier and generally slightly more sour than sour cream. I find it in the dairy section of most grocery stores. If you don’t have any, you can make some quickly by following this recipe from Epicurious.
