Smoked Turkey Legs with Honey Sriracha Glaze

  • Total Time: 1 hour 30 minutes
  • Yield: 4 1x

Description

Need more turkey legs around the table? This quick recipe will have your friends and family fighting over drumsticks!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 turkey legs
  • 1/2 cup Melissa's Classic BBQ rub (or your favorite)
  • 1/2 cup red wine vinegar
  • 1/4 cup white balsamic vinegar
  • 1 cup coconut sugar
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 1 TBS minced garlic
  • 2 TBS sriracha

Instructions

  1. Prepare smoker to run at 275 degrees with your favorite wood. I chose cherry for these.
Season turkey legs heavily with BBQ rub and place on smoker. Using a meat thermometer, moniter the internal temperature.
  2. When the internal temperature gets to 160 degrees, make the glaze by combining vinegars, sugar, honey, garlic, and sriracha in a sauce pan. Bring to a heavy boil while constantly whisking until glaze is reduced to a syrupy consistency. Baste on turkey legs. Remove turkey legs from smoker when they hit over 165 degrees internal temperature.
