Description
Take a new spin on an old classic, the Sloppy Joe Sandwich. This recipe is so much more flavorful than the old “canned sloppy Joe sauce,” you’ll never go back.
Ingredients
1 pound 80-20 ground beef
1 medium yellow onion, diced
1/2 green bell pepper, diced
1 15 oz can tomato sauce
1/3 cup ketchup
2 TBS Cajun Garlic Sauce
1 TBS Woo Woo Sauce
1 TBS Cajun Seasoning
S&P, to taste ( I recommend 1 tsp+1/2 tsp pepper, then tasting)
Instructions
In a large skillet over medium high heat, add ground beef. Start breaking up and browning for 2 minutes, then add bell peppers and onions.
Continue to cook until ground beef is fully browned. Push all ground beef mix to one side of the skillet, and tilt skillet down to the opposite side to allow the fats to drain. Soak up with a few paper towels, and remove from dish.
Add in Tomato Sauce, Cajun Garlic Sauce, Woo Woo Sauce, Cajun Seasoning, and Ketchup and stir. Bring to a boil, then reduce to a simmer. Add S&P to taste. Continue to simmer for 10-12 minutes, or until sauce is thick and rich.
Remove from heat and serve with hamburger buns.
