Honey Habanero Air Fryer Wings

Have you heard of my new line of Flavor Dusts?  They’re really awesome, and are good for so much more than wings (more on that later!) They’re so flavorful, you don’t even need to pre-season the wings before cooking if you don’t want to.  For this Honey Habanero Air Fryer Wings recipe, I did use my Grillin’ Shake to season them, along with a couple of tricks to get crispy wings.

Get ’em Crispy!

There are a few tricks to get crispy air fryer wings.   First, I use “party wings,” or the separated flats and drummies, instead of whole wings.  Secondly, don’t overcrowd the air fryer.  Just like when you’re browning or frying in a skillet, putting too many wings in at once results a longer cook time and more steam in the fryer, which keeps the wings from crisping up.  Next, make sure to pat the wings dry before you toss them with olive oil and seasoning.  This also helps you get a more flavorful wing.  Finally, sprinkle on some baking soda.  The baking soda helps break down bonds in the chicken skin, and if you use some salt to season the wings (my Grillin’ Shake has salt,) will help get you a crispier wing in less time.  That means you won’t have to overcook the wings and can still get that crispy taste from fried wings, but without all the added oil.

Flavor Dust is the new way to eat wings!

Wing sauces are sooo messy.  So I developed my new Flavor Dust line.  We have 5 different flavors to mix and match, and they’re all excellent and in resealable bags.  We have Garlic Parmesan, Memphis BBQ, Lemon Pepper, Spicy Buffalo, and Honey Habanero.  They’re made so you can add a little, or a lot!  For example, the Honey Habanero adds a unique, honey flavor with a bit of heat in the back if you use a little.  If you use a lot, it will definitely light a signal fire on your tongue!

Easy, Four Ingredient Appetizer!

These wings are so easy, and they only have 4 ingredients plus the wings.  My Grillin’ Shake, the Honey Habanero Wing Dust, olive oil, and a tsp of baking soda.  What could be easier.  Plus, they cook to crispy goodness in about 18-20 minutes, so you’ll be able to enjoy fresh, flavorful wings without having to order takeout.  Just toss the wings in a bit of olive oil and Grillin’ Shake, put in a preheated air fryer at 400 degrees, and cook for 18-20 minutes, turning every 4 or 5 minutes.  They’ll be good in 18 minutes, go 20 for a bit crispier!  Then, just remove, sprinkle with the Wing Dust, and serve with ranch or bleu cheese, celery and carrots.

I hope you’ll try out my wing dusts.  You can order them from The BBQ Allstars, the Best BBQ Store in America!  If you order all 5, you get a free shaker!
